Join us for our first-ever Together Gathering: Nothing to Prove

This year’s theme, “Nothing to Prove” reflects our team’s passion to help women live in the freedom that comes when they begin to own the truth of who God says they are. There is something powerful about a woman who is fully alive…a woman who understands her value and lives as if she has nothing to prove—and nothing to lose!

Who is This For?

The Together Women’s Gathering is open to every woman at any age or phase of her life: married, divorced, single, mothers of babies or fur babies, women with lots of faith or little to none.

EVENT SPEAKERS

Pastor Jennifer Long

Jennifer Long confesses that she’s not all that cracked up about “women only” events (because, well, drama, you know), but she is so excited to be a part of the Together Movement! It just feels different – like women are actually pulling for one another and finding their identity in Christ, not one another. She is passionate about helping everyday people know they are valued and loved and worthy of connection and grace – and that is the heartbeat of Together. She is motivated by the deep, compelling love of God and seeks to share that love with everyone she meets – whether a next door neighbor, a person on the margins, or a momma she meets in Honduras where she travels often. Jennifer is inspired by those who keep faith in the midst of hardship and find joy through difficult circumstances so she spends her time helping the under-resourced in her community. Pretty much anyone who meets Jennifer for the first time will describe her as “passionate” and she seems to live up to that no matter what she’s doing. She’s also passionate about being real so she freely admits that it took her way too many tries to get an acceptable selfie.

DeDe Schreiner

My journey is a realization of my chosenness.  I’m passionate about the opportunity to serve and hold space for others to embark on a process of discovering who they are, and finding acceptance, joy, and freedom in that discovery. My peace comes from realizing that I am the Beloved daughter of God.  And I can rest in, live out of, and celebrate that Identity.

I’m most fully myself when I’m in flow…. moving rhythmically on my yoga mat; crafting words that convey a revelatory truth; biking the Katy Trail; gliding in the cool water of a lap swim; hiking in the woods; playing keyboard with our worship band, or getting lost in the bliss of deep belly laughter.

I’m awed and inspired by how God reveals His Character, Presence, and Great Mystery in nature, in pain and in people.  That He longs to astonish and delight me in the most everyday moments.

My God-given purpose is to love well.  And to live well…my one and only life.

Living Loved.
Not, living to BE loved.
Because I already am!
Fiercely and for eternity.
To be the light, salt and fragrance of Christ in every moment.

Tina Parsons

As a passionate Christ follower, it is my heart’s desire to encourage others to live a bold, daring and adventurous life just as Jesus did.  This, I have learned, doesn’t mean pack my bags (or baggage) and head off to a third world country (although sometimes I would like too!).  It means, instead, to take Him at His Word and fully (all in) engage in life, in the very place that He has placed me (not always to my liking).  When I awaken to His presence and I become aware of my journey, I can draw buckets of life from the bottomless well of His love so I in turn have something to share with others.  I want (not just need) Him more and I want you to want (not just need) Him too!

Psalm 27:4 – One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:  that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.

Rebecca Pierce

Rebecca Pierce is a writer, speaker and Bible teacher who is passionate about connecting women with the heart of Jesus through God’s Holy Word.

Since the age of 15, Rebecca has been passionate about Jesus. However, the richness and practical application of God’s Word didn’t become a part of her walk with Jesus until after marriage and studying the Bible under the guidance of older godly women. Now, Rebecca’s passion for Jesus is only matched by her love for His Word.

Rebecca believes that God’s Word is sufficient for us in all seasons, that Jesus is eager to meet us in the midst of the muddled and mundane, and that when we walk under the truth of God’s Word, we can experience the depths of true freedom, even in the hardest places of our stories. With this in mind, Rebecca published her first six-session video Bible study curriculum, “Do Not Fear,” in Fall 2018.

Ever the creative dreamer, Rebecca loves to create spaces where women can gather, bring the fullness of their stories and find the healing and freedom that Jesus offers each of us. This has led to an annual “Rest + Retreat” weekend and the founding of the Women at the Well Community.

When she isn’t finding new friends through social media or encouraging old friends, Rebecca can be found at home – either helping her husband, Ben, with their farm business, tidying up after their four children or taking a nap.

Kathy Broska

Whether I’m working my day job or just doing life, I have a passion for encouraging and empowering women to live well, love well, and rest well. As a recovering perfectionist, I am learning to focus on what matters, release what doesn’t, and find restoration in the only thing that truly satisfies: doing life with Jesus.

I believe my core purpose is to love God and love others well. I’ve learned the hard way that, when I chase a purpose other than that, life gets complicated. One of my biggest fears is making wrong decisions about how to invest my time, especially in my vocation, because it’s important to me to be in God’s best flow for my life. That said, sometimes (many times) those paths aren’t completely clear—that’s when I have to do the next thing and trust God to work out the whole thing. He’s proven faithful and I can see in the rear view mirror that nothing—no thing—is wasted.

I feel most fully myself when I’m with those family and friends who know me best and love me unconditionally (and that includes my Golden Retriever, I’m just sayin’:). I feel fully alive when I’m active, whether it’s in the gym or enjoying the outdoors—and especially when my husband and I are cross country skiing together on a snowy mountain trail or walking along the beach at sunset. Those are happy places for me.

Worship by Elizabeth Carter

My Name is Elizabeth and I am a wife and mother but my favorite title is that of daughter.  I  knew at an early age God had placed a call on my life and a passion in my heart for music. Over the years I have  felt God grow this passion for music into a full on fire for worship and creativity in sharing the love of Jesus. There is such an intimacy in worshiping though song. I believe that music can reach us in ways that transcend the walls we erect to keep ourselves hidden. It can help us to express our hearts in ways words can not. Our family is also heavily involved within the recovery community. My husband and I have been at part of Celebrate Recovery for 5 years and have found profound transparency and healing for ourselves and our family.

Emcee Amy Miller

What motivates me to do what I do?
I love to see women fall in love with Jesus and learn who they are in Him. It is so fun to watch women blossom into grace and freedom.

When am I most fully myself?
I have two jobs – Massage Therapist and Yoga Instructor. In both those roles, I am most fully myself because I love holding space for others in their healing process. At my church, I get to be a volunteer worship vocalist. I love holding space in this capacity so people can meet with and worship Abba, Jesus, and Spirit.

What is my God-given purpose in life?
My God-given purpose in life is to delight in Him and be His delight!
